PruCan X Baby!Reader: Chapter 1

Gilbert Beilschmidt (a.k.a. Prussia) and Matthew Williams (a.k.a. Canada) have been going out for about four months now. They were a fairly happy couple and they didn't really have any problems at all. (Other than Gilbert getting drunk from time to time, but other wise ok. ) Some of the other countries even started noticing Matthew a little bit since the two went out. (But not that much though... XD)

But there was something going on with the feeble country lately, that made Gilbert wonder. For the past two weeks, Matthew wouldn't show up to any of the world meetings and has been avoiding Gilbert lately. Gilbert would try to ask the Canadian why he's avoiding him so much, but Matthew would just brush him off and say that he has some very important business to take care of for his country.

"Is it really zhat important, zhat jou don't have any time to spend vith zhe awesome me, birdie?" Gilbert would ask his small lover.

"Yes, it is that important, Gil. There are some things going on with my country right now that I want to handle it by myself. So just let me take care of it, alright?" The Canadian would reply with his usual quite tone, but has some tensed feeling in there.

Gilbert knew that there was something else going on with Matthew's life, so today, Gilbert was going to give Matthew a surprise visit at his house and, (hopefully) find out what's really going on with the secretive Canadian. As soon as Gilbert arrived at Matthew's house, he started knocking on his door. No response. A couple knocks later, and still no response.

Gilbert looked back at the driveway, 'Zhat's veird.. His car is here, but no one's answering...' He thought to himself.

Gilbert would've knocked again, but instead, he invaded Matthew's privacy and walked right inside his house. (Thank god the door was unlocked.. XD)

"Mein birdie? Are jou here?" Gilbert tried calling to him.

He didn't get a response, but he did hear water running upstairs.

"Must be taking a shower.." he said to himself.

Gilbert closed the door behind him and decided to look around the house while he was waiting for Matthew to finish his shower. As he was walking around the living room, he noticed some stuff laying on the floor. The albino man raised a brow as he noticed some baby toys and other things like that scattered across the floor.

'Vhat zhe hell is he doing vith zhese zhings?' He thought with lots of confusion in his head.

Gilbert then, left the living room and began to look around some more in the kitchen. As soon as he walked in, he saw something that, surprisingly, shocked him. It was a young girl who looked around 8 months old.

She had short (h/c) hair that swept across her face and she was wearing a little pajama dress. She was peacefully sleeping on a high chair and Gilbert couldn't help, but smile at how adorable she looked. He started walking up to her, but he accidentally bumped against a table, which made a plastic bowl fall onto the floor with a loud CLANG!

"Dammit!" Gilbert cursed out loud.

Suddenly, Gilbert heard the young girl start crying her eyes out due to the loud noise that disturbed her sleep. Gilbert immediately panicked and ran up to the crying baby. He carefully picked her up and tried to calm her down by softly bouncing her in his arms.

"Sh, sh, sh... Please stop crying liebling.. I'm sorry I voke you..." Gilbert cooed to the girl.

The young girl's cries started to ebb away and she slowly opened her eyes. Gilbert quietly gasped as he saw them. She had (e/c) eyes that glistened as she looked up at Gilbert.

They were probably the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen. Soon, the baby girl stopped crying and started to snuggle up against the Prussian man's chest. Gilbert cracked a smile at her gesture.

'So, zhis is vhat Birdie's been doing all zhis time? Caring for a little liebling?' Gilbert thought to himself.

Suddenly, a quite voice came from behind, "Gilbert? Is that you?"

Gilbert quickly got out of his thoughts and turned around, while still holding the baby girl in his arms. He sheepishly smiled, then smirked at his boyfriend and said, "I don't suppose zhis is jours?"
